Short-Form Video Editor (United States)

SHORT-FORM VIDEO EDITOR (Reels, Shorts, TikTok)

Veritas Creative Media is hiring an editor for Adam Lane Smith, a relationship coach with a large following on social media. The role focuses on editing short-form video content for Reels, Shorts and TikTok.

Required

• 3+ years of experience editing short-form social video, including for a channel that publishes daily.
• Experience with talking-head and educational content.
• Color grading with scopes on a calibrated display, including preset management and consistent skin tones across changes in wardrobe and lighting.
• Working knowledge of source-matched sequence settings, social loudness standards, color space and platform export settings.
• Fluent English listening comprehension, as edits follow the speaker rather than a transcript.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• A workstation capable of native 4K editing and an internet connection suited to 20–35 GB source files.

Nice to have

• Experience with After Effects.
• Ability to take full responsibility for color across all channels. Candidates with this experience are considered for the upper end of the salary range.
• What you will do
• Edit vertical video from 4K footage and finished long-form episodes, including multi-speaker podcasts.
• Produce clean edits in the brand’s established style.
• Shape pieces for performance: select the strongest moment, craft the opening seconds, set the pace and test alternative hooks.
• Develop original concepts that bring the brand to new viewers.

• Consistent style, color and skin tones across every edit and channel.
• Measurable improvement in retention on pieces with tested hooks.
• A steady flow of original concepts that reach new viewers.
• Every export meets each platform’s loudness and color space standards.
• Tools: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, YouTube Studio, ClickUp, Miro, Google Workspace

Hiring Process
