Job Summary

The Academic Engagement Coordinator provides support for the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health. The Academic Engagement Coordinator collaborates with partner offices on Academic Affairs initiatives; assists with planning and implementation of programming to support first and second-year student transition; assists with departmental program and course assessment; assists with outreach to community and stakeholders (e.g., college website, newsletters, social media, magazine); and assists with college admissions.

Responsibilities

• Attend recruitment events, meetings, share updates, and collaborate with partner offices to coordinate efforts on academic affairs initiatives
• Design, implement, and monitor transition and early college engagement programs to enhance undergraduate student success, retention, and integration
• Manage logistics, scheduling, venue setup, and material allocation required for successful execution of departmental events, workshops, and student programming
• Assist in creating, administering, and evaluating assessment tools (such as surveys and focus groups) to analyze course effectiveness and drive program enhancements (e.g. JPHCOPH Core IMPACTS course and FLYT)
• Support development and instruction of departmental courses, including the overall implementation of the Public Health Pathway Program (i.e. module design, event management, and resource allocation.)
• Support multi-channel communication strategies to engage community and campus stakeholders via newsletters, magazines, social media, and digital platforms
• Update content on the college website regularly
• Create and manage social media posts to highlight programs and events
• Collaborate with the college communications team to ensure consistent messaging
• Serve as the point of contact with the university marketing & communications department
• Manage graduate admissions databases, specifically SOPHAS and Slate, while serving as the primary liaison to the College of Graduate Studies to coordinate admissions processes, track applicant data, and support prospective graduate students

• Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

• One (1) or more years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Public Health, Program evaluation and assessment experience, marketing and communications experience

Proposed Salary

$20.71 - $25.88 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
