Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a psychiatric unit. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in the field and will be skilled in managing various mental health conditions in an adult population.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care to adult patients with psychiatric and detox needs, including but not limited to alcohol use disorder, polysubstance use, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.Monitor patients' conditions and collaborate with the healthcare team to implement effective treatment plans.Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.Work closely with mental health specialists and CNAs to ensure optimal patient care.Participate in patient education and support initiatives.Shift InformationShift Type: Days, Nights, and WeekendsShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirements: Every other weekendHoliday Requirements: Every other holidayQualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting.BLS Certification is required.First-time travelers are welcome to apply.Unit Information10 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:5.Charge Nurse available 24/7 who manages patient care.Physical restraints are rarely used on this unit.One CNA/Unit Coordinator is present on each day shift to assist with patient care and administrative tasks.Respiratory Therapy is available if needed.No telemetry services on this unit.Dress CodeStaff members have the option to wear scrubs or appropriate street clothes. The attire must be professional and respectful, avoiding any provocative or suggestive items such as tank tops, blue jeans, or open-toed shoes.
