Operating Room Open Heart Nurse in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care within the operating room focusing on open heart procedures. Job Details:

• Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted); AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Red Cross certifications; at least 2 years of recent experience working in an operating room setting, with a focus on open heart procedures. Experience working under the highest level of professional license and supervising licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating in adult cardiac surgeries, including open heart procedures.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Shift is 5x8 hours, 40 hours weekly, including holidays and every other weekend. The position involves leadership responsibilities, supervision of other team members, and adherence to facility standards.
