About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity obstetric patients in a high-risk Labor and Delivery setting, including labor, delivery, triage, and cesarean section support
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Maternal-Fetal Medicine attendings, fellows, OB/GYN residents, and social work services to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Participate in on-call obligations, with 3 twelve-hour call shifts expected per scheduling period
• Utilize Epic electronic health records for documentation and patient management
• Support seamless coordination with the High-Risk Antepartum Unit and Antepartum Unit for continuity of care throughout hospitalization

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Epic electronic health records experience required
• Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals are not accepted
• Travelers may not work beyond 1 year continuously at this facility; a 6-month break is required before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must be able to complete fit testing requirements, including shaving for mask seal; no exemptions are accepted

• High-risk Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
• FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification preferred
• STABLE program certification preferred
