New Grad RN Residency Program - (ICU) Rockdale Medical Center New Grad RN Residency Program - (ICU) - 152726 When you join the RMC family, we want you to feel welcome. To that end, we provide an extensive orientation including classroom and hands‑on instruction. Your orientation is tailored to your specific needs so that you can progress at a pace that is just right for you. You will be partnered with a preceptor who has been specially trained in adult learning, is passionate about teaching, and is proficient in his or her area of expertise. In many nursing departments we welcome and encourage both experienced and novice nurses to join our family. This residency program will start in July 2017. Unit Intensive Care Unit. The spacious 16-bed unit located in the East Tower offers an optimal environment for healing. We provide nursing care for a varied patient population including coronary, medical, and surgical patients needing intensive care. Our state‑of‑the‑art unit offers opportunities for goal‑oriented nurses who demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills. At present, we are actively pursuing the Beacon Award. Description To assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate the care of the critically ill patient. To deliver patient care utilizing expert clinical skills in meeting the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of the patient and/or his or her significant others/family. Patient care is provided to the following age‑specific patient populations: infants through the elderly. Qualifications Current GA RN license required prior to start date CPR certification required Must provide the following items along with online application: Resume with details of clinical rotations — include number of hours for each rotation, specific units, and healthcare facility. Current GPA 300‑500 word essay describing why you want to be an RN in this area of specialty. Failure to provide these details will result in application rejection. This program will start July 2017.
