Job Title: Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment Location: Newark, New Jersey 07112 Start Date: July 13, 2026 Schedule: Night Shift | 3 x 12‑Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Compensation: Weekly Gross Pay up to $2,486 (Includes $1,694 Weekly Stipend , where applicable) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13‑week travel assignment starting on July 13, 2026 , in Newark, NJ. The Pediatric Emergency Department operates independently from the Main Emergency Department and provides specialized emergency care to pediatric patients. This role is ideal for a skilled RN who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients presenting with emergency and urgent medical conditions. Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress. Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols. Care for pediatric holding patients as needed. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care. Float to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and other pediatric units when required based on operational needs. Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum 1.5 years of recent nursing experience required. Previous Pediatric Emergency Department experience required. Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills. First‑time travel nurses are welcome to apply. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in ventilator management . Previous Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience. Required Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Scrub Color: Navy Blue Nurse-to-patient ratio: Approximately 1:5+ (subject to facility needs). Every other weekend required. Potential to float to PICU and pediatric units as needed.
