Compensation

$22–$35/hour (Based on Experience)

Position Summary

Our client is looking for an Injection Molding Process Technician to support the production of high-performance engineered plastic components.

This position is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing injection molding machines while maintaining quality standards and maximizing production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, process, and perform changeovers on 60–400-ton Nissei and Sumitomo injection molding machines
• Install molds and complete mold changes
• Adjust cavity blocks and machine setups
• Optimize machine settings including:
  • Temperature
  • Shot size
  • Injection pressure
• Program and operate robots for part removal and de-gating
• Load raw materials and support material handling
• Troubleshoot molding processes and resolve production issues
• Assist operators with inspections and quality control
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of injection molding or blow molding experience preferred
• Ability to read technical drawings and processing documentation
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Optical comparators
• Knowledge of:
  • Plastic resins
  • Shrink rates
  • Mold setup
  • Injection molding processes
• Experience with tooling setup and process troubleshooting
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
