Production Coordinator - Rotating Days

SUMMARY:

Coordinates flow of work for a production center. Contributes to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and encourages good work habits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain the flow of work within a production center.
• Keeps production leadership informed of production status.
• Works with document control staff to assure production documents are kept current.
• Act as liaison to other departments and team members relating to production needs. May act as back-up to supervisor, as necessary.
• May lead or contribute to production improvement initiatives.
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches of products according to specifications.
• Maintain applicable records.
• Demonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


High school diploma or equivalent. Previous production experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Computer proficient. Problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated leadership skills. High level of patience and service. Ability to motivate team members. Ability to be flexible and multitask. Ability to read blueprints and maintain accurate records. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
