Databricks Data Engineering Practice Lead

Role Overview The Databricks Data Engineering Practice Lead is responsible for leading and growing the data engineering consulting services, focusing exclusively on the Databricks ecosystem. They oversee project delivery, team development, and client relationships. Responsibilities Develop and implement best practices for data engineering Mentor and grow the data engineering team Engage with clients to understand requirements and propose solutions Contribute to business development and sales efforts Stay current with Databricks platform updates and industry trends Ensure project quality and timely delivery Collaborate with other practice leads (e.g., Data Science, Analytics) Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with 3+ years in leadership roles Strong experience in data engineering, including data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes. Expertise in the Databricks platform, including Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL.
