The Supervisor – Patient Transport Services oversees Patient Transport operations and enhances customer relations through positive, service-oriented interactions. This position provides leadership and support to the Patient Transport Services team, assists with regulatory compliance, and helps ensure safe, efficient, and professional transport services. Job Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, coaching, and motivation to enable each team member to perform to their fullest potential.
• Maintain current records, logbooks, and required documentation.
• Monitor service binders in assigned areas daily and take appropriate action as needed.
• Participate in the facility Quality Assurance Program when required.
• Assign equipment to staff and monitor daily equipment use, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Ensure all department-owned equipment is clean and professional in appearance at all times.
• Respond to concerns and requests with a sense of urgency and take appropriate corrective action, including timely follow-up.
• Participate in department safety initiatives and maintain a safe work environment.
• Report unsafe equipment or activities to the appropriate manager or director.
• Ensure offices, storage areas, and closets are clean, organized, maintained, and professional in appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Two (2) years of related work experience in healthcare, patient care, and/or supervising others in a service-related field.
• Demonstrated ability to comply with the Code of Conduct and compliance policies, resolve compliance questions or concerns, and report suspected violations.
• Experience supervising staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, evaluating, and coaching employees.
• Ability to escalate employee performance concerns to leadership and provide documentation for counseling and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), as necessary.
• Experience scheduling days off, holidays, and vacations while ensuring facility staffing needs are met.
• Ability to assign personnel to established work areas or project duties and coordinate projects to ensure transports are properly managed and tracked.
• Ability to maintain current job duties and periodically review responsibilities with regular and relief team members.
• Ensure proper supply-control guidelines are followed and staff are trained in the appropriate use of chemicals to clean and sanitize transport wheelchairs, gurneys, cars, and vans.
• Ability to delegate tasks effectively, optimize team productivity, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a positive and professional manner.

• High school diploma, GED, or higher-level degree.

• American Heart Association BLS certification.

• English: Ability to read, write, and speak effectively.
