Salary Range: $60,000 - $100,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

A leading Cleveland, Ohio area Engineering Firm in hiring an experienced Structural Engineer. In this role, you will leverage your AutoCAD and Revit expertise to design, analyze, and detail structural systems for diverse commercial and retail buildings

Responsibilities

• Engineering of steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and light-gage building structures.
• Perform comprehensive analysis and design for both shallow and deep foundations.
• Prepare precise structural design calculations, construction drawings, specifications, and detailed design analyses.
• Develop comprehensive framing plans, foundation plans, building elevations, cross-sections, and connection details.
• Conduct shop drawing reviews, respond to RFIs (Requests for Information), perform periodic construction site observations, and execute occasional specialized structural inspections.
• Assist in creating accurate construction cost estimates for upcoming commercial developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering is highly preferred.
• EIT (Engineer-in-Training) registration is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in structural building design and detailing. (Candidates with less experience will be strongly considered if backed by a relevant engineering degree).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
• Experience with SketchUp, Visual Analysis, RAM Structural, Procore, and FTP utilities is a major plus.
• Solid, up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and national building codes.
• Ability to travel locally for structural field surveys as required.
