Nuclear Medicine Technologist Travel Job:
U.S. Nursing is seeking experienced and self-motivated travel Nuclear Medicine Technologists for a potential strike in the fall.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Qualifications:
- Active and current BLS
- NMBT
- Two years of recent experience as Nuclear Medicine Tech, within the past two years.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree program.
In addition you must:
- Commit to a full 9 days away from home, one U.S. Nursing receives the official 10-days notice.
- Be available to work ANY shift. U.S. Nursing does not guarantee shift placement.
- Hand-carry your complete file.
- Not be CURRENTLY WORKING or IN PROCESS for any Fastaff assignment.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform organ imaging tests, including full skeletal, cardiac blood pool, and major vascular blood pool tests, and cysternograms utilizing gamma cameras, and/or stationary camera devices.
- Perform complex procedures, including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist.
- Explain test procedures and safety precautions to subjects and provide them with assistance during procedures.
- Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patient and staff.
- Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians.
- Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures.
