PRN Pharmacist Inpatient Pharmacist

Peachford Hospital is searching for a PRN Pharmacist to work Inpatient Pharmacist at Peachford. Pharmacists deliver quality nursing care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral and addictive disease diagnoses. Responsibilities include accurate and timely dispensing/preparation of medications in response to orders from physician staff. Compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and/or other regulations relative to dispensing/preparation of medication is also required.

Pharmacists are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks:

• Interprets medication orders (verbal and written) and transcribes to computerized patient medication profiles accurately.
• Maintains compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and/or other regulations relative to dispensing/preparation of medication.
• Maintains accurate, complete pharmacy patient medication profiles.
• Assists with pharmacokinetic consult service and drug dosing regimens per hospital protocol.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Pharmacist in the state of GA.
• Previous psychiatric, behavioral or mental health nursing experience is helpful but not required.
