Lab Operations Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Operations Assistant for a 12-month contract position with strong potential for extension. In this essential role, you will maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and compliance across active laboratory spaces.

responsibilities:

• Clean, sanitize, and arrange laboratory glassware, dissolution baths, and sonicators according to SOPs.
• Sanitize lab benchtops, chemical storage cabinets, fume hoods, and contamination-controlled areas.
• Perform thorough sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal to ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and reorder sanitary supplies and cleaning agents in a timely manner.
• Assist Sample and Lab Coordinators with warehouse-to-lab resource transfers and product disposal.
• Collaborate with floor supervisors during routine lab cleanliness rounds and complete logbook documentation.

 
qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong commitment to dependability, precision, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and strictly adhere to PPE guidelines.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills and basic computer literacy.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as required by lab operations.

Preferred:

• Prior experience working in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or laboratory environment.
• Demonstrated experience with specialized laboratory cleaning agents, sanitization techniques, and logbooks.
