Manufacturing Painter B

You will be the Manufacturing Painter B for the Manufacturing Coatings Team. Our team delivers high-quality protective finishes for aerospace components. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Painter B you will be responsible for applying protective coatings, operating paint equipment, and ensuring precision in finish work. Responsibilities Apply various protective coatings, primers, paints, inks, and finishes to detail parts and assemblies. Operate paint equipment and facilities following drawings, schematics, and verbal instructions. Prepare surfaces, apply masking, and verify accuracy using precision measuring tools. Rework parts as required and maintain a clean, orderly work area. Document work and communicate any issues to supervisors. Location This position is in Dallas, Texas. Qualifications High school degree or equivalent. Zero (0) to twelve (12) months related experience. Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift according to the collective bargaining agreement. Desired Skills Team oriented, experience in spray gun operation HVLP. Experience mixing coatings to exact ratios (epoxy, polyurethane, primers). Knowledge of film thickness control (mils matter in aerospace). Experience with surface prep (sanding, solvent wipe, water break test). Experience with masking for sharp, clean lines. Security Clearance Must be a U.S. citizen. Must obtain a Secret clearance. Work Schedules 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Multiple shifts available; schedule ranges from standard 40 hours over a five day work week or condensed schedules.
