Your Mission As a Veterinary receptionist and Client Care Specialist, you’re the calm, confident first connection for pet owners when every second counts. You keep the front end of a high-volume hospital moving—fast, accurate, and compassionate. Key responsibilities: Deliver standout client communication in person and by phone Learn and apply phone triage for emergency cases Coordinate patient flow with triage nurses and doctors Capture and update patient/client details in electronic medical records and schedule appointments De-escalate stressed or frightened clients with empathy and clarity Required skills/experience: Experience with electronic medical record systems and multi-extension phone systems Strong customer service mindset; innovative problem solver Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) The Shift Energy You step into a fast-moving Veterinary reception rhythm: lines light up, clients arrive with urgent questions, and you guide each interaction with steady client communication. Between check-ins, you pivot to the practice management system to keep records crisp and appointments locked in. You’ll tag-team with the client care specialist team, syncing timing with clinical staff so handoffs feel seamless. When emotions run high, you help bring the room down to a calmer temperature—clear updates, kind tone, forward motion. By the end of the shift, you’ve helped turn chaos into clarity for pets and people alike.
