Mail Order Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician in Warren, MI Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician 3 days ago Warren, MI This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Pharmacy Technician with experience in Long Term Care and Mail Order pharmacy environments. The role offers a 26-week contract with the potential to transition to permanent employment, working primarily on the 2nd shift from 1:30pm to 10pm, with some rotating day/evening shifts (8am-5pm; 1pm-9pm). Key Responsibilities: Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and facilitate reimbursement processing. Prepackage medications following regulatory standards and assist in the final verification process with the Pharmacist. Coordinate timely and precise medication delivery to customers. Support pharmacy management with inventory control, including receiving, rotating stock, and maintaining accurate lot and expiration records. Maintain a clean, safe work environment by ensuring equipment calibration and cleanliness in partnership with the Technician Supervisor. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Long Term Care pharmacy experience strongly preferred. Experience in sterile compounding/IV preparation is a significant advantage. This contract assignment provides exposure to both Long Term Care and Mail Order pharmacy settings, offering valuable hands-on experience. Candidates must be comfortable working rotating shifts and collaborating closely with pharmacists and pharmacy management in a fast-paced environment.
