Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to operate a forklift in a dynamic production environment. This role involves operating a forklift for up to 12 hours, supplying necessary raw materials to the Production Department, and efficiently handling finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Operate a lift truck safely and proficiently for up to a 12-hour period.
• Supply the Production Department with necessary raw materials.
• Remove finished goods from the production area, label them with production tickets, and store them in the appropriate warehouse location.
• Tag finished products and ensure the proper materials are used.
• Stack finished products in the warehouse in an organized manner.
• Work as a material handler, loading and unloading materials, moving raw materials and finished goods.
• Lift wrapping rolls, with the heaviest being around 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

• Experience with sit-down propane/electrical forklifts.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings.
• Basic computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with material handling, production, packaging, and general labor.
• Familiarity with GMP, RF scanners, inventory management, picking, loading, shipping and receiving.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack, order picker, stand-up and reach trucks.

Work Environment

The work environment requires wearing personal protective equipment, including hairnets, steel-toed shoes, and protective eyewear. Candidates must be comfortable standing all day. The role operates on the 1st Shift, from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The facility covers 90,000 square feet, equipped with 15 extrusion lines and 2 labeling lines. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
