Shift: 2-2-3 schedule, every other weekend off, working 4 days one week: D Crew: (6 pm-6 am) Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, and 3 days the next week: Sun, Wed, Thurs) 12hr day shift available

Job Summary

Responsible for staging, loading, and unloading finished product and raw materials as well as, stocking and maintaining warehouse inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate all Material Handling Equipment and perform the necessary safety checks prior to operating
• Always maintain food safety awareness and immediately report any issues to management
• Receive material in from vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly using scanners and inventory programs
• Verify the quantity, lot, and description of materials received by checking against the packing list and/or Bill of Lading (report/record any discrepancies)
• Perform all necessary inspections and verifications
• Correctly attach identifying tag or labels to materials as needed
• Safely and accurately place materials on shelves, in racks, or other designated storage areas to maintain the identity of preserved food, FIFO picking philosophy, and orderliness
• Make all necessary transactions within inventory programs to ensure inventory accuracy and lot control is always maintained
• Comprehend the reading of shipping & receiving documents, gauges, schedules, and dispatches
• Accurate and timely staging of finished goods and raw materials
• Accurate and timely loading of materials onto containers, trailers, vans, and/or cars
• Move materials in and out of storage safely and without damage
• Check shipping documents for accuracy prior to making copies for the driver
• Clean and maintain work area per the daily checklist and master sanitation schedule (MSS). Provide on-the-job training to new employees
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Forklift certification, M.H.E. Certification Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to read, write and comprehend English Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required Computer and Data Entry skills required Shipping and Receiving entry experience High school diploma or GED Previous forklift experience- Sit down (2 years preferred) Manual dexterity required for operating machinery Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
