Production Machinist

Production MachinistsWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Machinists to join our dynamic manufacturing team.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform set up and operation of machinery (lathe and/or mill) in order to prepare metallic and non-metallic parts required in the production of products.-Review blueprints, drawings and specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of part/product, sequence of operations and/or set up requirements-Measure, mark and otherwise indicate the dimensions and reference points on the part or material to be used as guides for subsequent machining-Select, align and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines to include mills, lathes and grinders-Calculate and set controls to regulate various machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut-Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjust as necessary-Verify conformance of finished part to ensure it meets specifications-Confer with production personnel, supervisors and/or others to resolve machining or assembly issues-Perform daily maintenance duties and/or notify supervisor of any equipment-related issues that may require attention-Maintain and clean and orderly work area-Responsible for performing dimensional inspections on in-process partsRequirements/Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
