Private Estate Facilities Manager

A sophisticated UHNW family office is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the systems, infrastructure, maintenance operations, and vendor management across multiple luxury residences in Los Angeles. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone with strong technical expertise managing complex residential systems and older estate infrastructure. The ideal candidate understands the nuance of maintaining hospitality‑level standards within large‑scale private properties and can proactively troubleshoot, problem solve, and oversee preventative maintenance at a very high level. Key Responsibilities Oversee all residential facilities operations, systems, and maintenance programs Manage preventative maintenance schedules across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generators, lighting controls, fire/life safety systems, and related infrastructure Conduct regular property walkthroughs and identify operational improvements proactively Coordinate and oversee vendors, contractors, projects, and maintenance staff Manage facilities‑related budgets, contracts, invoices, and project timelines Maintain organized maintenance areas, garages, and operational workspaces Partner closely with Estate Manager, House Manager, and additional household leadership team members Support hospitality‑level standards and seamless day‑to‑day estate operations Ideal Background 5+ years of experience managing facilities within a UHNW estate, luxury hospitality, resort, or high‑touch residential environment Strong working knowledge of complex mechanical systems (HVAC, Fire Codes and prevention planning) and infrastructure Proven ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently Experience managing vendors, projects, and preventative maintenance programs Highly organized, proactive, discreet, and service‑minded Comfortable working onsite daily across multiple Westside properties Please note this is not a traditional House Manager role focused solely on vendor coordination.
