Pay: $17.50 - $18.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Job Description We are hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a manufacturing facility in West Des Moines. This position is responsible for loading and unloading windows, doors, and other building products, preparing orders for shipment, receiving incoming materials, and keeping the warehouse organized. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

• Load and unload windows, doors, and other building products.
• Prepare and stage orders for shipment.
• Verify orders and shipping paperwork for accuracy.
• Receive incoming materials and put products in the correct warehouse locations.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Inspect products for damage or quality issues.
• Secure loads to prevent damage during transportation.
• Organize inventory and maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Work with production and shipping teams to complete daily orders.
• Assist with production, assembly, inspection, racking, and other general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping and receiving, material handling, loading, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read shipping paperwork, work orders, and basic instructions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, twisting, and walking throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment This position is fully onsite at a manufacturing and warehouse facility in West Des Moines, IA. The facility is not temperature controlled, so temperatures will vary depending on the season. Employees work around industrial equipment and moving machinery. Steel-toed boots, jeans, a t-shirt, safety glasses, and hearing protection are required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr.
