CNC Machine Operator

CNC Machine OperatorThis role involves operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts from the production line, starting at 5:00 AM. You will set up, run, and monitor CNC equipment, perform inspections, and ensure parts meet blueprint specifications and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC machines to produce parts according to production requirements and engineering blueprints.Set up machines, tools, and fixtures as needed to run assigned jobs efficiently and safely.Monitor machine operations throughout the shift and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.Inspect parts using calipers and other hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances meet specifications.Interpret and follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers to ensure accurate part production.Perform basic troubleshooting on CNC machines and related equipment to resolve issues and minimize downtime.Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of tools and materials.Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating machinery and working on the production floor.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, and improvement opportunities.Essential SkillsProven experience operating CNC machines in a production or manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Hands-on experience with machine operation and machine operating tasks, including setup and basic adjustments.Proficiency using inspection tools such as calipers and other measuring instruments.Ability to perform visual and dimensional inspection of parts to ensure quality standards.Basic troubleshooting skills for CNC equipment and related production machinery.Comfort using hand tools safely and effectively in a manufacturing setting.Strong attention to detail and accuracy when following specifications and measurements.Ability to work reliably with a 5:00 AM start time and maintain consistent attendance.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience operating press brake equipment in addition to CNC machinery.Familiarity with general production processes and workflows in a manufacturing environment.Capability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.You will join a production environment where craftsmanship, precision, and continuous improvement are highly valued. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
