We’re building more than infrastructure; we are building your future.**General Summary**Drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations.**Essential Job Accountabilities*** Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.* May maintain truck log, according to state and federal regulations.* May maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.* May load and unload truck.* May inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.* May perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.* May position blocks and tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit. **Education*** High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience **Certification*** Valid Chauffeur's License* Valid DOT Medical Certificate **Work Experience*** 1 to 3 yrs. experience **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** Workers should be able to:* Read and interpret road maps* Practice good safety habits* Work in dusty or dirty surroundings* Follow instructions and meet set standards for hauling and scheduling* Judge distances and weights accurately* Make decisions based on verifiable standards. Physically, workers must be able to:* Stoop, bend, and crouch* Use hands, arms, and legs fully* See well (either naturally or with correction)* Lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
