Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery registered nurse in Ithaca, New York, provides direct patient care within the Maternal Child Health department. This role involves collaboration with the healthcare team to follow the scope of practice for nursing governing bodies related to Maternal Child Health. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Ithaca, New York
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Labor and Delivery experience required; postpartum experience preferred; no minimum years of experience required.
• Additional Information: The RN is responsible for data collection, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients' physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs. The role involves assessing patient and family needs, prioritizing care, demonstrating critical thinking, and acting as a resource to peers. Cross-training to Labor and Delivery, NICU, or both is available.
