Senior Manager, Data Management

Position Summary The Senior Manager, Data Management is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of clinical study data activities, from study start‑up through ongoing oversight to completion. In a matrixed environment, the role involves leading both internal resources and outsourced vendor activities, ensuring consistency of database builds across protocols, and representing Data Management in study team meetings. Responsibilities Develop and review standard Case Report Forms (eCRFs), Data Management Plans, Validation Specifications, and Data Transfer Specifications. Provide Data Management input during study protocol development and contribute to the enhancement of the clinical library. Develop and maintain DM SOPs, Standard Working Practices, and other data‑management process documents. Contribute to selection and oversight of CRO performance for data‑management activities; act as the sponsor representative for outsourced activities. Represent the Data Management function in study team meetings and address data‑management questions for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure timely delivery of quality data in accordance with Eisai SOPs, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. Execute managerial duties for direct reports and provide guidance to team members. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in sciences or a related field with 7+ years of clinical data‑management experience in the pharma/biotech industry, or equivalent education and experience. Experience in project management—defining plans, milestones, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and driving accountability. Strong understanding of the drug‑development process and data‑management strategy. Proficient use of data‑management systems and knowledge of data‑management processes, tools, methodologies, and documentation. In‑depth knowledge of clinical research, GCP, regulatory requirements, and good data‑management practices. Leadership experience, including mentoring of external/contract staff. Compensation & Benefits Annual base salary range: $134,800–$176,900. Eligible for Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in company benefit programs.
