Senior Manager, Patient Services & Advocacy Omeros is currently recruiting a Senior Manager, Patient Services & Advocacy.The role will focus on developing and managing patient access and reimbursement resources, education, and services for healthcare providers, provider offices, patients, and caregivers, while building strategic relationships with patient advocacy organizations and relevant clinical and professional societies. Manages the development and implementation of reimbursement and patient access resources and education for providers and provider offices, including coverage, prior authorization, appeals, coding and billing, and financial assistance Develop patient and caregiver resources to support understanding of, and access to, therapy and available support services Identifies reimbursement and access needs and translate insights from providers, patients, caregivers, and internal stakeholders into practical tools, education, and solutions. Builds and maintains strategic, compliant relationships with patient advocacy organizations, patient and caregiver leaders, clinical organizations, and professional societies Brings the patient, caregiver, and provider perspective into relevant initiatives across Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Sales, and other functions Facilitates and supports advisory panels, stakeholder engagements, and other forums to identify needs, gather insights, and identify opportunities for collaboration Develops and supports educational initiatives for provider, patient, caregiver, advocacy, and professional audiences Manages advocacy and professional society initiatives, including appropriate grants, sponsorships, memberships, and collaborative programs Develops and maintains appropriate processes, metrics, SOPs, FAQs, and best practices to support Patient Services and Advocacy activities May support other patient advocacy and reimbursement activities as needed What education and experience do you need? Undergraduate degree in relevant healthcare field (RN/BSN or related discipline) with 7-10 years of related experience is required.Advanced degree in a relevant healthcare field (RN/BSN, NP, PharmD, MPH, or related discipline) with 7+ years of relevant experience is preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in patient services, reimbursement, patient access, and/or patient advocacy within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is required Strong understanding of reimbursement and patient access, including medical-benefit coverage, prior authorization, appeals, coding and billing, and patient financial assistance Experience developing reimbursement, access, provider, and patient educational resources Proven experience building relationships with patient advocacy organizations, professional societies, clinical organizations, and healthcare stakeholders Rare disease experience strongly preferred; hematology and/or transplant experience preferred Exceptional communication, relationship-building, diplomacy, and cross-functional collaboration skills Proven project, vendor, and budget management capabilities with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Compassionate, patient-centered mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Demonstrated commitment to ethical, compliant, and patient-centered decision-making Experience in and knowledge of Microsoft applications What skills and knowledge does our ideal candidate have? The wage scale for Sr Manager Patient Services & Advocacy position is($190,000 - $220,000). Salaries will be determined based on knowledge, skills, education, and experience relevant to the role. Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with a company match. Employees accrue three weeks of vacation and 80 hours of sick time on an annual basis and receive twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
