Facilities Engineer I

Maintenance Technician

Maintains building/facilities by making basic repairs and performing basic preventative maintenance tasks throughout the casino. Assists upper-level personnel in a variety of trade disciplines including but not limited to landscaping, carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical.

Shift Availability:

• Grave Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain landscaped areas in a well-groomed manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance to equipment on a scheduled basis.
• Assist Engineer II, III & IV as needed.
• Handle routine calls, prioritized by guest service needs.
• All other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• 6 months in maintenance or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:

• Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures, and various hand tools.
• Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Casino's insurance policy.
• Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow all policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to see, talk, and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; stand and walk.
• Must be able to utilize ladders of various heights
• Must occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
• Frequently required to stoop, crouch, or kneel.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
