Bank TellerThis position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by being well-versed in teller work and customer service functions and provides loan support to the branch manager or lender by performing loan assistant duties.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Essential functions include:Opens various new depository account products and servicesHandles customer transactional needs such as processing deposits, withdrawals, check cashing requests, credit card advances, money orders, and other forms of negotiable itemsCash handling, including but not limited to, counting, verifying and packaging of coins and currency, daily balancing of cash drawer, assisting with ATM balancing and replenishmentAssists in the rotation of vault custodian (buy/sell cash to tellers, maintain sole control and vault security, count and balance the vault cash daily)Works with customers to update existing deposit accountsMaintains a well-developed, working knowledge of products, services and processes offeredAccurately utilizes equipment and remains knowledgeable of equipment functionality to perform roleCompletes documents for special requests such as direct deposit, wire transfers, stop payments, etc.Assists with research of loans, organizes new and renewal loan documents, prepares loan file for closing, and issues loan proceeds checksResponsible for bank opening and/or closingMaintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtainedPromotes the bank's products and servicesRepresents the Bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with all customers, potential customers and co-workersMeets expectations for attendance & punctualityCompetencies include:Clear and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to diagnose, resolve or escalate a critical situationBasic math and computer skillsAbility to use multiple computer systems and applicationsAbility to handle multiple priorities simultaneouslySupervisory responsibilities: NonePhysical demands: Standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
