Medical Support Assistant (Office Automation)

Job Duties Help Enter, manipulate and/or retrieve information and data from automated systems as appropriate to the area assigned. Complete request forms, manually or automated, for individual patient orders, blood work and other requests. Coordinate and/or schedule patient services with other MTF departments or specialties. Provide information regarding the MTF and unit policies, procedures, and locations to patients, family members, staff, etc. Maintain all patients' records, both electronic and paper, according to regulations, ensuring each entry contains proper patient and health care provider identification. Perform clerical duties inherent to the in-processing (reception/admission), care and out processing (transition/discharge) of patients, families/caregivers and guests.
