Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and strategic‑minded Director of Operations to lead our operational efforts and drive efficiency for the distribution center. In this role you will be given challenging assignments throughout the company and take on some of the most complex problems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of optimizing processes to enhance productivity and profitability. As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing day‑to‑day operations, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Position Purpose Lead the distribution center’s operations, ensuring efficient execution of warehouse and transportation functions, while improving productivity and maintaining safety and quality standards. Position Details Schedule: Monday - Friday Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm Compensation: Base (Salary) + Bonus Work Location: 1200 Cassville White Rd., White, GA 30184 Benefits Competitive pay Day 1 Health & Wellness Benefits Employee Stock Purchase Plan 401(k) Employer Matching Education Assistance Paid Time Off Growth opportunities supporting America’s food distribution system Safe and inclusive working environment, culture of rewards, recognition, and respect Responsibilities Oversee efficient operations of warehouse and transportation functions, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, delivery, equipment maintenance, security, and safety. Manage scheduling and delivery of incoming product and outbound product/customer deliveries to achieve timely, high‑quality delivery. Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures for warehousing, transportation, inventory, and security. Negotiate with vendors/suppliers for packaging, shrink wrap, pallets, parts, and other necessary items. Lead managers and associates, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution. Implement warehouse and transportation employee productivity/quality action plans in line with operations standards. Determine personnel and equipment requirements based on projected volumes, product mix, and productivity standards. Ensure compliance with company, OSHA, and DOT safety standards. Handle customer returns, vendor returns, and obsolete inventory; conduct inventory counts and cycle counts. Collaborate with corporate operations to identify training needs and implement training programs. Meet regularly with the OpCo President to discuss profitability, capital expenditures, employee productivity, and other key metrics. Support Risk Management by investigating accidents and implementing corrective actions; work with HR on training and incentive programs. Participate in sales efforts by assisting sales personnel with presentations and resolving operational or product quality issues with customers. Ensure effective cooperation and communication with other departments. Perform other related duties as assigned. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and risk analysis. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management and process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma (desirable).
