divh2Maintenance Technician/h2pWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and production equipment at our manufacturing plant in Culpeper, Virginia. This role ensures assigned departments remain in safe, efficient working order to prevent operational disruptions and maintain OSHA compliance. The technician will execute preventative maintenance plans, complete timely corrective repairs, and support overall site maintenance needs./ppPrincipal Functional Responsibilities:/pulliConsistently works in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems. Complies with applicable OSHA regulations, Cabinetworks Group HS policies and EPA regulations./liliDiagnose, reports, and repairs sub-standard equipment by troubleshooting to the component level./liliPrepares for use, performs operational checks, inspects and completes routine repairs and major overhauls with little or no immediate supervision./liliRequests, withdraws parts from inventory, and replace defective or worn parts to make all necessary adjustments for the proper operation of the equipment./liliDemonstrates the ability to prevent equipment down time through observation, communication with production staff and maintenance leadership. Assists engineers in diagnosing problems and suggests corrective action. Contributes in team decision making. Provide support in project work and other special requests./liliContinuously reviewing current processes and searching out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process./liliCommunicates and documents all work performed in CMMS (Limble), in compliance with work order process guidelines./liliImprovising acceptable fixes to get equipment running promptly./liliAssisting and supporting other team members in meeting department and site goals./liliPerforming general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within the department/group and assists other areas as required./li/ulpQualifications and Skills:/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or certifications in a technical/manufacturing field a definite plus./liliMust possess a valid drivers license./lili1+ years experience in a heavy mechanical / electrical manufacturing environment./lili1+ years experience in plumbing./liliKnowledge of hydraulic systems./liliHVAC/Boiler knowledge is a plus./liliExperience with Preventative Maintenance (PM)./liliStrong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills./liliKnowledge of TPM / Lean or other continuous improvement processes./liliComputer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs./liliPowered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) trained or willing to become trained./liliProficient reading technical documents, drawings, and schematics./liliGood interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication./liliAble to work in a fast-paced environment with a highly participating work system./liliAbility to work independently and in a team setting in a safe and timely manner./liliMust be motivated towards productivity improvements, safety and quality awareness./liliMust be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision./liliA working knowledge of department safety, quality and operational procedures, training manuals and company policies and procedures is required./liliEmployees must understand various types of environmental and machining processes, which might result in non-conformance to company, EPA or OSHA compliance./liliKnowledge with MS products (Word, excel, power point) use of computer/Ipad./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliRequires lifting, carrying, and pushing, pulling weight up to 75 lbs. occasionally, average weight is 1 lb. 50 lbs. frequently./liliWork at a swift and steady pace.
