Patient Accounts Representative

Job Description THIS POSITION IS NOT REMOTE. Healthcare Institution seeking a Patient Account Representative to handle Medical Billing & Collections. Individuals applying should have knowledge of Medical Billing and Collections. We require the individual to be dependable, responsible, and be multi-tasked to help our department stay on top of billing and collections. Job Duties: Post payments daily Bill, upload and correct claims in clearinghouse Status unpaid claims and patient accounts Balance and complete daily deposit Process Refunds Job Requirements: Medical Billing and Direct Data Entry experience, Collections and all aspects of A/R cycle. High School Graduation a must and some education/certifications in medical billing preferred Must be proficient in Word & Excel. Experience in a medical clinic, medical billing, A/R, collections (from insurance companies & patients), insurance follow-up and coding & verification. Behavior Health a plus Team player attitude, energetic, able to multi-task, with a focus on excellent customer service are key. Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills.
