Patient Care CoordinatorThe Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is responsible to assist the Clinic Director and Psychiatrists with administrative and operational tasks to ensure each patient has a smooth and professional experience with Amen Clinics. The PCC focuses on customer service, fosters open communication, and keeps their assigned doctor organized and current on patient needs. The PCC is part of a high energy team that focuses on patient health and wellness and ensures that all patient and team interactions are positive and productive.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Greets, checks-in and checks-out patientsHandles new and existing patient inquiriesEnsures patient Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and correspondence are accurate and up-to-date in the EMR system and makes updates as needed and appropriateCollects and posts patient paymentsAnswers phone calls and emails relaying information and requests accurately and delivering messages as neededSchedules, reschedules and cancels patient appointmentsProvides support to their assigned doctor and assists other PCCs as neededProvides supplement and nutraceutical information to patients and answers questions as neededRespects patient confidentiality with a thorough understanding of the HIPAA/HITECH lawsQualifications and Requirements:High School Diploma required; Completed college coursework, Medical Assistant Certificate or Associate's Degree preferredA minimum of 2 years professional experience in a clinic or medical practice requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of general clinic or medical practice processesBasic/Intermediate computer skills with a willingness to learn our intake and patient care systemsStrong verbal/written communication and listening skills; including excellent impersonal skills and telephone communicationExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to identify and resolve problemsAbility to effectively organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assignments within the time allotted and maintain standard workflowAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and coworkersAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and protected patient informationAbility to work effectively as a team player and provide superior customer service to all staff and leadershipDress Code Requirements :Black (Brand – BarcoOne) scrubs are to be worn Monday thru ThursdayEmployee will receive 4 tops and 4 bottoms (they can choose the style) upon hireCompany will purchase one additional set at employee's annual work anniversaryPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
