Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with trauma experience and multi-specialty scrub skills for a hospital surgical services position.

Details

• Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts, 9:00 AM-7:30 PM
• No floating or blocked scheduling required
• Weekend requirement of 1 weekend per 6 weeks
• On-call and holiday coverage are optional
• Charting completed in Epic
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Must be able to scrub total joints, neuro, hybrid vascular, and robotic surgery cases
• Preferred experience in ortho, urology, endo, vascular, thoracic, neuro/neuro spine, bariatrics, plastics, ENT, podiatry, and transplant surgery
• PA fingerprint clearance and Childline results required within 12 months of start
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub in a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurology, orthopedic, general, urology, ENT, bariatric, and thoracic procedures
• Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi, Mako, and Mazor Robot is preferred
• Knowledge of infection control, laser and radiation safety, and universal protocol procedures expected
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate specialty experience
• Local candidates accepted at a different rate
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility
• Requested time off must be submitted prior to consideration and cannot be added afterward
