You will use tools and test equipment suitable for industrial maintenance and troubleshooting. The environment requires adherence to facility safety rules, cleanliness standards, and any applicable hospital protocols, with appropriate attire and personal protective equipment as required by the site.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to ensure reliable operation.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on AGVs, AMRs, and related automation systems, following established procedures and documentation requirements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and mechatronic issues using appropriate tools, test equipment, and technical documentation.
- Support corrective maintenance activities on mechanical systems, including pneumatics, motors, and drive components, to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and program PLCs, including Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens S7/TIA Portal, to resolve control system issues and optimize performance.
- Work with HMI systems to monitor equipment status, identify faults, and implement adjustments or corrections as needed.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on control panels, wiring, sensors, and actuators associated with AGVs, AMRs, and automation equipment.
- Conduct mechanical troubleshooting on moving parts, drive systems, and structural components to restore proper function.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain motor control systems, including variable frequency drives, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Carry out quality checks, inspections, and testing on repaired or maintained equipment to verify proper operation and compliance with standards.
- Document maintenance activities, test results, and repairs performed in a clear and accurate manner for tracking and compliance purposes.
- Follow applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety procedures, particularly in environments where food, chemical, or medical standards may apply.
- Collaborate with clients and on-site staff, providing clear communication about issues, timelines, and solutions in a professional, client-facing manner.
- Assist with system upgrades, equipment modifications, and process improvements related to automation and robotics.
- Remain available for on-call support on weekends to respond to urgent maintenance needs or system emergencies.
- Experience as an industrial or mechanical technician with hands-on maintenance and repair responsibilities.
- Proficiency in maintaining and repairing Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), or similar automation equipment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including work with control panels, sensors, actuators, and wiring.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including work on mechanical systems, drive components, and moving assemblies.
- Knowledge of mechatronics and robotics maintenance, integrating mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance on automation and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting, including Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms.
- Experience with Siemens S7 and TIA Portal for PLC configuration, programming, and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with HMI systems for monitoring, diagnostics, and operator interface tasks.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and related automation hardware.
- Knowledge of pneumatics and their application in industrial automation systems.
- Experience with motor control systems, including variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Ability to perform quality checks, inspections, and quality assurance/quality control activities on maintained equipment.
- Strong documentation skills for recording maintenance actions, test results, and inspection findings.
- Comfort working in a client-facing role, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally on-site.
- Outgoing personality with the ability to build positive working relationships with clients and on-site staff.
