About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 3 years OR experience required, Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required License: RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, CO OR Compact RN License Must-Have: - 3 years of Operating Room experience - Epic experience - Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience - No first-time travelers accepted Description: The Operating Room is equipped with 41 operating rooms and is a Level 1 trauma center. Candidates are required to have experience with a variety of surgical procedures, including general, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastics. Travelers should be willing to float to other operating rooms as needed. On-call responsibilities will be required as per unit needs, approximately 6 shifts per 8-week schedule period. Weekends will be required based on unit needs. This role demands the ability to circulate and assist during a range of surgical procedures. Additional skills in scrubbing spine surgeries are desired, although not mandatory. The unit sees a daily census of approximately 90-110 patients and provides interdisciplinary support from various medical services including respiratory and pharmacy. All travelers must complete facility-specific training within the first week of the assignment and stay compliant with any required continuing education modules. Pre-approved time off is limited to 10 days per contract. RTO is not permitted during specific specified periods. The unit seeks experienced travelers who can adapt to the fast-paced environment inherent in a trauma center. All candidates should review their prior employment history with any affiliated providers to ensure eligibility.
