We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated EMS / HVAC Controls Technician to join our team. This position focuses on the installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and HVAC control systems in commercial environments.

Job Summary:

The Controls Technician will be responsible for ensuring that HVAC and building automation systems operate efficiently and reliably. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with control systems, strong technical knowledge of HVAC operations, and the ability to diagnose and resolve system issues in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain EMS/BAS and HVAC control systems.
• Perform system start-up, testing, calibration, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot control system issues, including sensors, actuators, controllers, and wiring.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Work with HVAC equipment such as air handlers, VAV systems, chillers, boilers, and RTUs.
• Ensure systems are operating efficiently to meet project specifications and energy management goals.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to complete installations and service work.
• Follow all safety procedures and industry standards on job sites.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in HVAC controls, EMS, or Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control theory.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control system issues.
• Experience with control wiring, sensors, and field devices.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Honeywell, Siemens, or similar BAS platforms.
• PLC knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Commercial HVAC service or installation background.
