Account Manager – HVAC & Plumbing Equipment and Supplies

Location: Norwalk, CT
Pay: $25–$35/hour DOE
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

A leading mechanical construction wholesaler is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its growing team in Norwalk, CT. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in HVAC and plumbing equipment, supplies, distribution, inside sales, outside sales, or mechanical construction .

The ideal candidate will have strong product knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with HVAC contractors, plumbers, mechanical contractors, and commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with HVAC contractors, plumbing contractors, mechanical contractors, and commercial customers
• Sell HVAC and plumbing equipment, parts, supplies, and related products
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and follow up with customers
• Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and delivery
• Develop new business while maintaining existing customer accounts
• Recommend HVAC and plumbing products based on customer needs
• Work closely with vendors, warehouse personnel, and internal sales teams
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information
• Provide exceptional customer service and follow through from quote to delivery

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC and/or plumbing equipment and supplies strongly preferred
• HVAC, plumbing, mechanical construction, or wholesale distribution experience a plus
• Previous account management, inside sales, outside sales, or customer service experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend the right products
• Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced wholesale/distribution environment
• Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing products is highly desirable
