Overview
Registered Nurse (PCU) travel assignment in Olathe, Kansas. Start date 06/07/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range is $2,065 to $2,153. Shift is 3x12-hour nights. Works in a Short-Term Acute Care Hospital with a high-acuity PCU population. This role requires cross-unit float capability and strong critical care skills.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for PCU patients, including continuous monitoring, patient assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, and wound/line care.
- Support post-operative cardiac patients with pacing wires, chest tubes, and PICC lines; assist with CRRT and BiPAP as needed.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, respond to clinical changes, initiate rapid response or codes when required, and document findings accurately.
- Float to ICU and other inpatient units as assigned; maintain competency across units and uphold patient safety, infection control, and policy adherence.
- Communicate with patients and families, provide education as appropriate, and maintain comprehensive documentation in EPIC.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or a Compact state; BLS, ACLS, and NIHF certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/CCU experience
- Experience with CRRT, BiPAP, drawing labs, chest tubes, and PICC lines; open heart day 1 experience with pacer wires
- Ability to float to ICU and all inpatient units (Med/Surg, Med/Surg Telemetry, Acute Telemetry, and ED)
- Comfortable performing codes and managing emergent situations; willing to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
