Laboratory Assistant

Laboratory Non-Technical Assignments

Under supervision of the section supervisor, performs Laboratory non-technical assignments in a timely manner according to UHS Hospitals', Infection Control, Laboratory and Departmental Policies and Procedures, NYSDOH, CDC Blood and Body Fluids policies and procedures. Priority is given to STAT specimens require immediate processing.

Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Lab Services, UHS Hospitals and Physician Practices

Primary Work Shift: Rotational

Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Compensation Range: $17.05 - $22.17 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

• Enrolled in a degree program in a related field of study
• Phlebotomy Training
