Details\n \n Labor and Delivery unit within a Level II Trauma hospital setting \n Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30, various days of the week \n Patient ratios of 1:2 for L&D, up to 4:1 for antepartum or postpartum \n Weekend shifts required per unit needs \n On-call requirements per unit needs \n May float to other units within the same service line and to a sister facility \n Epic charting system required \n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand \n Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHM, and AWHONN Intermediate \n Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced and C-EFM \n Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required \n Travel nursing experience required \n Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma and community hospital experience preferred \n Experience with high-risk antepartum, high-risk delivery, and neonatal resuscitation \n Skilled in fetal monitoring, including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement \n Experience with labor induction and management medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Terbutaline \n Experience caring for patients with pregnancy complications such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and preterm labor \n Previous charge nurse experience preferred \n Additional Information\n \n Responsibilities include antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care, including assisting with vaginal deliveries and C-sections \n Support newborn care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation \n Provide postpartum care including hemorrhage management, wound care, and breastfeeding support \n Completion of facility-specific modules required within the first week of assignment \n Maximum of 10 RTO days permitted per 13-week contract, with blackout periods where time off is not approved \n No blocked scheduling requests permitted \n First-time travelers will not be considered for this position \n Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local pay rate \n Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates may be ineligible for consideration \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-743809.
