In this role, you will provide first-tier technical support to end users, implement effective troubleshooting, and carry out essential IT tasks. You will work under the guidance of senior technicians while applying and expanding your skills in a Microsoft environment, with some Apple and Linux.How you'll contribute:Resolve user inquiries and technical issues via phone, email, and ticketing systemPerform thorough troubleshooting for hardware and software problemsManage account setup, password resets, and access managementEscalate complex technical issues to higher-tier support personnel with proper documentationExecute software installation and updates on end-user devicesConduct regular maintenance tasks on computers, printers, and other peripheral devicesMaintain accurate inventory of IT equipment and suppliesConfigure and deploy workstations for new employeesCreate comprehensive documentation for technical issues and their resolutionsImplement established IT procedures and protocolsParticipate in training to expand technical knowledge and skillsMaster company systems and standard operating proceduresDeliver concise training to end users on software applicationsDevelop how-to guides for frequently asked questionsSupport users with Microsoft 365 applications and other standard softwareYou'll also support by:Assisting with minor projects under supervision of the IT ManagerIdentifying potential improvements to current support processesParticipating actively in team meetings and contributing ideasA successful candidate should have:1-3 years in an IT support roleAssociates degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferredSolid understanding of Windows and macOS operating systemsProficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware components and peripheralsUnderstanding of networking concepts and troubleshootingStrong verbal and written communication with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical usersStrong customer service orientation and a positive attitudeDemonstrated ability to analyze issues and implement appropriate solutionsCompTIA A+ certification preferred; additional certifications a plusWork environment:This is an onsite position based in Beaverton, ORRoutine use of standard office equipmentProlonged periods of sitting or standingWhat we offer:Medical, Dental, and Vision3 weeks annual PTO and 9 paid holidays401(k) + matchingEmployer-paid base life insurance, short, and long-term disabilityHealth savings accounts (with Biamp contribution) and flexible spending accountsTuition reimbursementCharitable donation matchingDiscretionary company achievement bonusReferral bonusesWho is Biamp?We make the world’s most extraordinary audio and video solutions.
