Registered Nurse CVICU

Job Summary:

Provide specialized critical care nursing to adult patients in the CVICU, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert clinical management and adherence to safety protocols. Deliver compassionate, high-quality care during 12-hour shifts, contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor critically ill cardiac and vascular patients, utilizing advanced skills to stabilize and treat complex conditions.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, interventions, and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient status, treatments, and responses accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to emergencies, providing life-saving interventions as needed.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards to maintain a secure environment for patients and staff.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelors degree preferred.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 2 years recent experience in a CVICU or adult critical care setting.
  
  
• 
  Maintain active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC EMR system and critical care procedures.
  
  
• 
  Be willing to work 312-hour day shifts on weekends, with flexibility for floating.
  
  
• 
  Be at least 100 miles away from Prisma facilities to qualify as a traveler.
