Job Purpose Oversee scheduling of surgical cases, staff, and OR block time to maximize throughput and surgeon satisfaction. Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements. Manage vendor and supply chain relationships. Key Responsibilities Direct all day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the orthopedic ASC. Develop, implement, and monitor annual operating budgets; manage labor, supply, and overhead costs to achieve financial targets. Ensure compliance with ASC regulatory requirements, including CMS Conditions for Coverage, TJC standards, and state licensure rules. Foster a positive and collaborative environment among staff and surgeons to enhance patient care and satisfaction. Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and manage supply chain effectively to ensure cost-effective procurement of necessary supplies and equipment. Analyze financial data to drive performance and achieve budgetary goals. Collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize scheduling and resource utilization. Ensure the ASC operates in accordance with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting professional development and adherence to best practices in perioperative nursing and orthopedic surgical services. QualificationsRequired Education Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related clinical or administrative field. Required Experience 5+ years of ASC leadership experience, with at least 2 years as an ASC Administrator or Director. Experience in an orthopedic-only or musculoskeletal-focused ASC. Experience managing a physician-owned or joint-venture ASC. Familiarity with orthopedic implant/device contracting and cost management. Required Skills and Abilities Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in an ambulatory surgery center. Demonstrated knowledge of ASC regulatory requirements, including CMS Conditions for Coverage, TJC standards, and state licensure rules. Preferred Skills and Abilities Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and drive financial performance. Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practice and orthopedic surgical services.
