Systems Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer local Data Center domain and Active Directory.
• Configure, patch, and maintain servers; ensure software license compliance.
• Assist with SQL Server setup, maintenance, cluster management, backups, recovery, and licensing.
• Maintain and test Disaster Recovery systems and manage related service contracts.
• Oversee SAN maintenance, server configurations, and local file administration.
• Manage purchasing, setup, and evaluation of hardware (servers, SANs, network switches, cell phones, tablets, and printers).
• Maintain Data Center contracts with internet and cellular providers.
• Administer local building security, fire, and alarm systems.
• Oversee maintenance of manufacturing workstations and onsite printing systems.
• Ensure corporate compliance for local file servers and user management.
• Be available to respond on-site during off-business hours.

Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of on-premise Data Center management.
• Proficiency with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and SQL Server.
• Experience with SAN configuration and maintenance.
• Familiarity with Disaster Recovery processes and testing.
• Understanding of server patching, licensing compliance, and hardware configuration.
• Ability to manage vendor/service contracts.
• Basic networking knowledge (switches, local configuration).
• Attention to detail in equipment labeling and documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle urgent issues after hours.
