OB Hospitalist Locums - Sylva/Clyde, NC Assignment Overview

Location: Sylva/Clyde, North Carolina
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Practice Setting: Hospital-Based OB Hospitalist
Coverage: Market position covering two hospitals
Provider Assignment: Scheduled at only one hospital at a time

Availability

Urgent Coverage Needs

July 6 (7:00 AM) - July 10 (5:00 PM): Primary need
July 9 (8:00 AM) - July 14 (8:00 AM): Secondary need

Ongoing Need

Providers are being added to the long-term coverage pool for future scheduling.

Schedule

Call only
Call Type: Beeper
Required Response Time: Within 30 minutes
Call Ratio: 0-5

Clinical Details

Patient Volume:
- 4-6 patients per hospital shift
- Up to 15 clinic patients
Department Beds: 15
Admissions required
Assigned and unassigned patient rounding
EMR: McKesson and Athena

Licenses & CertificationsRequired

Active North Carolina Medical License
North Carolina Medicaid Eligibility
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
ACLS
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

Preferred

Fellowship training

Experience

Comfortable managing OB Hospitalist call coverage, admissions, inpatient rounding, and obstetrical emergencies across multiple facilities.
