Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)

Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical) provides high-quality patient care for adults in a MedSurg setting, focusing on safety, clinical documentation, and timely interventions. The role supports efficient workflow across nights while partnering with the care team to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver bedside nursing care to a MedSurg patient population, including assessment, monitoring, and follow-up.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Manage care plans and coordinate interventions to maintain continuity of care across shifts.
• Document accurately in Cerner to support clinical communication and compliance.
• Implement infection prevention practices and evidence-based safety measures for each patient.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate staffing support.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license (WV or Compact), with pending license accepted for submission.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association required).
• Complete NIH training requirements as required for the role.
• Meet a minimum of 2 years of MedSurg or acute care RN experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner documentation workflows (modules as required).
• Provide recent manager/charge nurse references within the past year.
