Human Resources Director

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions for our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in Topeka, Kansas. As a strategic HR leader, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing human resources programs, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, retention initiatives, staff development, and workforce planning. Direct all HR operations and personnel administration activities Advise management on employment practices, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, harassment prevention, and workplace policies Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements Partner with department leaders on staffing needs, performance management, retention efforts, and workforce planning Analyze turnover trends and recommend strategies to improve employee retention and engagement Lead recruitment efforts, candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring processes Coordinate background checks, reference checks, licensure verification, and pre-employment screenings Manage new hire orientation and onboarding programs Maintain applicant tracking and personnel records Administer employee relations programs and assist with conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws Oversee unemployment claims, workers' compensation cases, OSHA reporting, and employment verifications Monitor professional licensure and certification renewals for applicable staff Process and manage payroll operations Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions for our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in Topeka, Kansas.
